At the turn of the last 19th century, vaudeville and Broadway were the rage. There was no television or radio and entertainment was - to say the least - unique. The climate was a little less politically correct and just about everyone was using the words 'Greatest', 'Amazing', 'Colossal', and other adjectives to describe their act - and a few of these acts actually lived up to the words!

Among the greats were Houdini, Keller, Carter the Great, and others. Many of the posters on this CD are from Broadway - and off Broadway - plays, musicals, vaudeville shows, and the like. It's an amazing walk back in time to the simpler days. Although Keller's Levitation might not seem so amazing today when compared with David Copperfield , the posters might have you believing otherwise.

All of the posters on this CD are from the late 1800's to the early 1900's and depict attitudes and ideas of that period.

Some of the more humorous posters on this CD are the great vaudeville-ian comics - The Royal Lilliputians - The Happy Hooligan - Thatcher's Minstrel's - and More!

The images on this CD make great prints and will certainly add character and nostalgia to any room if you choose to make prints. This is an extensive collections of Americana and should be preserved for future generations to enjoy.
